Clutter-free!

I've been working particularly hard recently, and decided I needed a reward. I went for something that was both a treat and something that would help me to keep working by improving the ergonomics of my desk set-up.

My monitor wasn't high enough for proper viewing, and it was irritating my neck. I could have easily propped another packet of paper under it, since the one I had wasn't enough:

But then I saw an ingenious idea for making at monitor stand out of a pre-finished shelf and four door-stops, and I HAD to have one:

I love that I can even slide the keyboard under the shelf, and have a huge cleared area to work on things that don't involve typing. All for a grand total of about eighteen bucks (and calling in a favor from a friend to drill the holes for the feet).
